Is My Tornado Damage Deductible?

Yes!!  The tornado and related storm activity that occurred in the Leon County area on May 10, 2024 has received the federal disaster declaration status.  This means that you can deduct your storm damage on your 2024 tax return.  It is my understanding that this declaration applies to Baker, Gadsden, Hamilton, Lafayette, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor, and Wakulla counties (FL).
