One Big Beautiful Bill OB3 Adoption Credit changes

Beginning tax year 2025, the credit changes.

The maximum credit available is $16,810, indexed for inflation.  Now, up to $5K of the credit is refundable, meaning it will be refunded to you above any tax liability you may have.

It has not yet been explained how to deal with the adoption credit that carries forward from 2024 into 2025.
